Macklemore speaks the fuckin truth.
People don’t realize how much of a genius Macklemore really is. The only song they know is Thrift Shop, when there are so many more wonderful songs. He raps about the problems of the world. And that is what makes him an inspiring person.^ that is why I love him so much.
^^I see what you are saying but i think that the song thrift shop represents the side of America and any other 1st world country that over pays and the gluttony of the world. So although it’s a jam out song, if you really look into the meaning is much more than what it seems. And thats why I like Macklemore because he makes you like of the deep problems hidden inside our society, like it is hidden in the song.
Also, Macklemore is not afraid to admit he struggles with all the same things that plagues all of middle class Americans. He likes nice shit too. He’s a recovering addict. He’s not afraid to stand up in front of millions of people and say I’M WEAK, YOU’RE WEAK, LET’S ALL BE WEAK TOGETHER.

My sweetheart and I have been in a lot of pain today. Only through time and Christ will we be able to heal our hearts. Regardless of what happens in our relationship I treasure this trial that will teach me patience, faith, and the power of His grace.
